It is looking more and more like this Toronto team is going to miss the playoffs.1 win in our past 6 games.
Tick tock Keefe....
Safe to say, it's been a disaster changing D coaches. Jones is now unplayable. Unless the new coach is relieving Van Ryan of duties, nothing is changing.
It was always a just a matter of time. Jones have proven over a large sample size that he is not a good goaltender. He and Samsonov should alter starts until one of them takes the net or Woll comes backFor Jones, tonight was called "returning to the mean".
For a 3rd stringer his SV% was way too high, now it's coming back to earth.
Keefe is not getting fired this season. They will make a coaching change after this season when the leafs officially missed the playoffs.Strange one to evaluate. Leafs were brutal in the first, but more or less dominated from there. I think 3 things made the difference:
1. Demko > Jones
2. Van PP > Leafs PP
3. Van PK > Leafs PK
The first period bs was negated imo. So no issue with the effort in the final 40.
Assume another loss tomorrow. And I don't see us beating WPG in either game. So some decisions await.
What article did you read recently to start blaming Van Ryn. You are so cluelessSafe to say, it's been a disaster changing D coaches. Jones is now unplayable. Unless the new coach is relieving Van Ryan of duties, nothing is changing.
closer for which team?I expected a loss, I am not upset. This is closer than it should have been
In Van Ryans defense.... He's working with a #2 defenseman and five #5-7 defensemen..
I like JT but he is cooked.Tavares has to do the honorable thing and request a trade.
We've got 120 games left of this shit.
Very frustrating game, the Leafs played well after an awful start
Three straight powerplays to open the third period tho.....
48 shots against is "structure"? Demko and the officials are why they won. The Canucks were a tire fire tonight. If that's how they usually play, they're gonna get stomped in round 1.One team played with structure one didn’t. Guess which team won?
The Canucks ain't going anywhere in the playoffs. They need to be better 5 on 5.fiesty?
Leafs should thank Vancouver for reminding them of what will eventually be required to be successful. In the only phase Leafs fans really care about, the playoffs.
