Maybe add something onto that for Adrian Kempe? What does Boeser + a 1st get us? (in terms of offense)

I think they should go for broke and try for Byram, Dobson or K’andre Miller. What's the guess boys. 6 x 6 be enough for MP?
The D is set for years, if we can find the money for Hughes.
Hughes Hronek MP with Soucy and Myers for a couple of years, with Willander EP2 Mancini and Mynio up and coming.
Edit - and to some extent Forbort has been playing ok recently as well.
Nasty in terms of results, yeah they are getting thatThey think they're getting a big nasty defender with edge.
They have to find a way to keep this guy for a reasonable cap hit, seems like the exact opposite of Miller in the room. Super positive vibes and great energy, which is exactly what EP40 needs after everything that has gone on.
You don't follow. If we hadn't included him, the deal would've been better for the Pens and worse for us.We gave up a solid 1st and a decent prospect in Fernstrom. I think declaring victory, especially without a Pettersson extension in place yet, is a bit premature.
I do think getting out from under Desharnais’ deal is good work. It just didn’t work. I wasn’t as down on Heinen as some were, but clearly the Canucks felt it wasn’t working and decided to move on. Moving out a few multi year, multi million dollar deals for a pair of pending UFAs gives us a bit of cap flexibility. But again, this deal hinges on us locking up Pettersson. He’s a great fit and fills a huge need, and hopefully Allvin and Rutherford have done their due diligence on what it will take to extend him.
Ya, I agree on all accounts. And I’d even add that I don’t know if Tocchett is really capable of coaching non-low event hockey. In that sense though, I don’t know if Chytil is a great fit. I kind of feel like we may be the NYI west but a few years behind. Could be dangerous in the playoffs though. But certainly boring. But if that center was bringing down the room and other performances it could also be a wash. And quite frankly they need to play boring low event hockey. Demko has not been good. Lankinen solid but not otherworldly or anything. And who knows now you have 3 d-men that are actually top4 guys and a Myers who is a 4/5. The Canucks should have the puck more and be able to transition better.
That would be amazing. Maybe DeBrusk + Boeser + a 1st pick.Maybe add something onto that for Adrian Kempe?
Depends on cost...we basically handcuffed ourselves in negotiations with him. If they don't re-sign him they're going to look pretty foolish making that trade. So I wouldn't think we're going to be seeing anything resembling a bargain contract when we ultimately re-sign him.Well, if we can extend Mettersson, it will be a worthy trade.

But I doubt the Kings would do that deal still. Kempe is on a great contract as well. I also don't think Kempe would be interested in playing under Tocchet. He's already complained about Kings' defensive style.
The BUGSo who's playing wing in the top six on your team then?
Hughes seemed in discomfort from a hit to the back. I don't think it was his hand.
One thing I forgot to say: This is like getting two players if M. Pettersson can right Hronek. On the other hand, it's like losing two players if Boeser falls off due to losing Miller.
Interesting times.
Yeah, I guess trading a center would be better. Suter or Blueger. Right now we have 5 decent centers + Raty.So who's playing wing in the top six on your team then?
I don’t really know how many more goals they can afford to lose.Because of the 4 nations thing there are only 10 games until the trade deadline. So i think Boesers games are numbered

I wouldn't trade either Suter or Blueger personally. They both bring more value then they cost, Suter can play the wing, neither looks out of place in spot duty up the lineup. You need to keep versatile players like that.Yeah, I guess trading a center would be better. Suter or Blueger. Right now we have 5 decent centers + Raty.
EP40, Chytil, Suter, Blueger and Sasson.
Maybe Suter + Boeser + a 1st could get us a high-end winger back. Mitch Marner?
Thats not generally a good way to justify spending more money than you should be IMO.Caps going up the next 3 years, we can manage
I agree but GMs probably feel the same about them, so their trade values should be pretty good (especially Suter's).I wouldn't trade either Suter or Blueger personally.
