So what was it, Horvat, a 2nd and a 3rd for Raty, Beauvillier and Hronek?

Now we have Miller, Fenstrom, Branstrom and Dorrington for Pettersson, O'Connor, Chytil and Mancini?

I mean I still don't like the sum of either of these trade, but they could have been worse. I am hopeful for O'Connor at least.

I actually think Myers on the first pairing is a decent enough placeholder until Willander is ready for top-4 minutes.

I’m just so excited for the team to be able to ice two competent defensive pairings.

100%

m. pettersson as a target for the nyr 1st is one thing... but the effect of having 20 more minutes each game of a guy who can pass the puck up the ice will make a massive difference.

would've been better if it was the canucks 2025 1st vs the nyr one that could haul a bounty next season if they implode, but for a team that needs to compete, i think they've done decent at a re-tool under the circumstances

so basically we moved JT Milller for Chytil and 1st and moved the 1st for Marcus Pettersson. Sprinkle some b/c level prospects in there.

What took so long?

Chytil I'm not very high on, not even sure if hes an asset that moves the needle.

Marcus Pettersson on the other hand fits this team, and many teams like a glove.

Big rangy, very good defensively, active stick, physical, will fight anyone, and last season showed some offense - was approaching Mattias Ekholm lite territory. He should really help the defense.
As a Pens fan, MP is not physical really though he doesn't shy away from contact.

He's a rangey two way d who can make a good exit pass and is smart with his stick and defensively. Good at absorbing contact to make a pass.

If you're expecting him to be mean you'll be disappointed

So like I was all expecting we blew our trade load with the Miller trade - what the f***. I knew they were looking to pick up a first to use as currency (since tradezz r hrd) but I didn't expect it to happen this fast.

Feeling like they're under pressure to turn into a winner while Hughes is under contract. I guess if they fail and we have to blow it up, at least that lines us up for Landon Dupont. 😶
