If love to trade Hayes, but not sure the flyers even can right now. They were trying Farabee at center this year…and it was terrible. Probably looking to trade Provy for a 2C and a 2023 1st but I don’t see how that’s a fit for most teams.

Remove Hayes and OEL. Provy for Boeser
Might as well discuss this as there's absolutely zero chance OEL waives for Philly. He had like a 2 team list when he was in 'zona.
Can Provy play the right side?, could OEL? If no the deal doesn't make sense for Van with Quinn, oel, Provy all playing LD.

I’m from the East coast and Vancouver is by far the most beautiful city in North America. I highly doubt that.
It's not that simple. American players generally don't desire playing in Vancouver.

Then you factor in that the organization was a trainwreck for like eight years and it is what it is.

Wow, don't like either Hayes or Povorov's contracts. Also hate the OEL contract.

OEL outplayed Povorov last year (and gets paid only $500k more) and Hayes deal is just horrible. Boeser is the only guy not on a terrible deal.

I'd probably do OEL for Povorov (due to shorter contract) but OEL wouldn't waive.

OEL + Miller (@50%) for Povorov + 2022 1st and 2023 1st?
Provorov been playing as a 1D since his rookie year, he's underpaid, great contract. The dude has been surrounded by dogshit. OEL is nowhere near him.

And OEL wouldn't waive VAN to go to PHI?

Philly is the better team next year when they're not missing a top pair D, 1C and 2C all year and have JG.

Flyers say no pretty quickly, Povorov is the best player in the deal by a mile

Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in NA, no doubt. But imo def not the most. I would put San Diego and Seattle above it. Then it's BC and Boston battling for 3rd (out of the list of cities I've been to). All subjective though.

Players aren't worried about how beautiful a City is. The shit weather and high taxes are the problem

We can't trade Hayes until we sign JG

Rumor is that we turned down two 1sts+ prospect for Miller at the deadline.

Do I think it makes sense....not so sure.

If I was the Canucks, I'd package up Miller @ 50% and Myers @ 50% (a 1C and 2nd pair RD for a total of about $5.5M of cap combined) and see what the highest bidder would be.

Are you kidding, The Metro is the most easy travel schedule in the NHL. And the Pacific is the most brutal. Due to that fact he wouldn't waive for Vancouver. Just because a city is beautiful doesn't mean a player will waive for that team.

OEL isn't waiving for Philly, And Hayes isn't waiving for Vancouver. Nuff said.

I definitely wouldn’t say Vancouver has bad weather in fact I’d say it has the best weather aside from the rain. It’s not to hot nor to cold.

He's been given every chance to succeed and he's mostly been a below average 1D.

This is not good for Philly at all. Hayes prob has negative value but not that much.

Shit weather is also subjective. For those that hate snow, Vancouver is great. My only problem with the weather is that in winter it's so humid that 0° feels like -10°. Dry cold is much better.

Not sure why Philly would take on many more years of an aging OEL

Exactly.

There's not much consideration for Philly really in this deal. We have players who need a change of scenery (Provorov mainly), sure - but we aren't dying to add OEL to the team.

The deal should be centered only on Provorov for Boeser, really.

That wasn't the question. The answer is: hell no.

Boston, really?

As a neutral fan Id say 40% retention on Hayes contract would make this more balanced

What? I was talking about Vancouver. I've never been to Boston, but that's probably the city I'd like to visit most in the USA.
I think it was in the post to which you were responding. In terms of "beautiful cities," it is OK, but no natural beauty and its non-grid layout is infuriating. It's nice, but it's cold and small, and there are bigger East Coast cities with much more to do in them.
