Myers too (albeit US-born) and sorta Juulsen.DeBrusk last Canadian on Canucks left this season.
Probably not. Defensive Dmen like Soucy tend to have their highest value at the trade deadline (although he isn't a pending UFA). Draft picks at the draft tend to have their highest value. If we hold onto SJ's 3rd and trade it at the draft we could pick up a solid young prospect, a slightly overpriced vet on a short term contract or pick up a 5th trading down a few spots. Can't help but think they would have been better off waiting until the off-season to move him.
His NTC would have become a 12 team no-trade list and a lot more teams could afford him with the rise in salary cap.
she's on LTIRIf Rangers needed a babysitter, they could have just got Christina Applegate
Good post! A extra thumbs up for the use of a plethora!Gonna be interesting deadline this year with all the cap space we have. We have a plethora of options available to facilitate for others and gain assets. Sell assets or made a deal for a long term piece. Gonna be exciting 24 hours. A 3rd for Soucy is great for me as opens up slot for D EP as well.
65+ overall is a crapshoot at best...
But in all probably--Allvin includes it in another deal for somebody.
No Juulsen is RIP this season.Myers too (albeit US-born) and sorta Juulsen.

Seems overly dramatic. You omitted the high 3rd round pick. And Soucy's been outplayed by DPetey, with Willander on the way.So we lost NHL defensive depth for some minor short term cap savings. The lineup just got more AHLie

Another reason they won't win anything.Myers too (albeit US-born) and sorta Juulsen.
When you're making 3.25M a year, you pony up for a night nanny.I was listening to a podcast and I think it might have been Ferraro (could be wrong about that though) and he was talking about Soucy’s decline this last season and brought up something I’d never considered before:
It is fairly common for fathers of newborns to struggle (apparently the situation Soucy is in).
I’d never considered that before, but as someone who has brought home a newborn, it can (and often does) kick your career in the ass (at least for a short time).
I thought Soucy was a really nice addition last season, and a big part of why this team took a step forward last season. His play this season was extremely disappointing though.
New dad or not, you have to figure that shit out and show up ready to play your best hockey.

Seems fine, but given what Dumoulin returned also seems underwhelming. Not sure why the rush to do this but they’ve been trying to move Soucy off for a while.
Sounds like they’re potentially saving the retention slot for Boeser.
