When you have the following unproductive players in your bottom 6: Loui Eriksson at $6 million, Sven Baertschi at $3.36, Jay Beagle at $3 million (good at draws but not much else), Sutter at $4.375 (good at killing penalties but woefully inconsistent and doesn't gel the line together as you'd hope for from a 3rd C), Jake at $2.55 (fast but inconsistent), Roussel at $3 (gritty but takes dumb and lazy penalties) you'll take the cheap, hardworking and speedy guys that you're finally stockpiling (Motte, Hawryluk, Vesey, Gaudette). Hopefully this fresh blood can awaken the deadweight vets.
