Nice, he's looked good so far with playing top 3-4 minutes with Hughes out. Our neutral zone pressure has looked brand new with the personnel change after the Miller trade. The poor blueline and lack of speed up front was a bigger issue than the drama.

As an Oil fan that despises the Nucks, I gotta say congrats and that I’m super jealous. I wanted the Oil to land MP and would have been ecstatic to get him extended to a 5.5 x 6 deal. Thought he could be Ekholm’s successor after his deal expires.

Lots of people were shitting on the Nucks because of the EP/Miller feud and then the Hughes rumblings, but I think they navigated the situation about as good as they could considering the cards they were dealt.

Ya that's a solid deal given the news of cap going up quite a bit. MP can fill that 4th d spot and eat minutes if someone else is injured. If Willander can be a player next year the defense is rounding into shape. Need to add on offense and some extra depth but looking good

It definitely makes it better for sure, because all the pieces are playing really well for Vancouver, but it’s still blows, losing a player like JT Miller, but this makes a lot more sense now after everything done.
