Bratt and 3x 1st rounds for Quinn
or
Nucks can offer Petterson (retain like 25-30%)+2x 1st for Jack Hughes

He’s probably not re-signing. Either accept your losses with Hughes and blow it up now or go all-in (trade prospects and the 1st) and try to win in the next two years.Trading Quinn we don't win any trade.
Agree with all of this but Hogs isn't a top 6 player.Ooh if Detroit offers this I would do it. Maybe a separate deal around Petey for Larkin?
But I would do this Hughes deal.
DeBrusk - Petey - Raymond
Hoglander - Kasper - Lekkerimaki (all that upside)
...
M. Petey - Hronek (hopefully Filip can be the #1 offensive D)
Edvinsson - Myers (new shutdown duo)
Nemec and Silayev is tempting if Hughes is in danger of being Matt Tkachuk but the Russian factor.Man, even the NY POST is in on it
Mercer, 1st
Choice of: Gritsyuk or Silayev
Choice of: Casey or Nemec

I don’t think there’s a chance Quinn is moved this summer. The overall package makes sense to me though. Ideally to me you’d be able to move Dougie without needing to use Vancouver and would instead use Vancouver to retain on Palat and reroute him to a 3rd team.
Has he come right out and said he is not resigning or are we just assuming. All I have ever heard him say is he wants to win. He’s probably not re-signing. Either accept your losses with Hughes and blow it up now or go all-in (trade prospects and the 1st) and try to win in the next two years.
He apparently hasn’t even said anything to Canucks’ management about playing alongside his brothers, JR was just speculating that could be a motivating factor for him if the Canucks can’t turn things around quickly.Has he come right out and said he is not resigning or are we just assuming. All I have ever heard him say is he wants to win.
I think next season will be a factor then. This management team better get on it..He apparently hasn’t even said anything to Canucks’ management about playing alongside his brothers, JR was just speculating that could be a motivating factor for him if the Canucks can’t turn things around quickly.
That would screw the whole league upI wish the Avs hadn’t tried so miserably to fail at getting a 2C, throwing a package of Byram, Ritchie and a couple of 1st to get Makar and Hughes on the same team would’ve been fun
It's too bad he's not eligible to be offersheeted. The Machiavellian move would be to offersheet Luke for 11.4M.
If the Devils match, they can't afford Quinn. If they don't match, Quinn stays. Whatever the Canucks pay bother Hughes brothers, deduct the 5M-6M that Luke should have been paid, and the remaining cap is the cost to keep Quinn.
The other factor is that it would plant seeds of doubt within the family and tear the three apart. If the other two brothers pressure Luke not to take it so that the three of them can play together, he's never seeing 11.4M again. It would take like 3 months, maybe Patrik Allvin dresses up like a woman (like Bugs bunny did) and tries to get into one of their ears about how they are the real star.
Ultimately the resentment and turmoil will result in Quinn signing a 5x5 type contract with the Canucks just to prove a point to Luke.
Luke is not offer sheet eligible, and secondly do you think that just because a team makes an offer sheet available it is in effect? The player has to agree to it and do you really think Luke is going to sign an offer sheet and leave Jack behind? The Machiavellian move would be to offersheet Luke for 11.4M.

Sounds good. Trade your whole team away for 2 years. Makes perfect sense.Jersey fans offering a few beads and trinkets, maybe some dreamcatchers at the Greyhound Station.
I'm curious what the Crackpipes might offer, three hours to the south of us. You going to run Beniers, Wright and Catton down the middle? Surely they could include one of them in a deal. Ronnie Franchise is stockpiling assets down there and he has a long relationship with the old man. Sooner or later the fans want to win.
Detroit makes sense. How long will they wait to get good again. Quinn has an off season home there.
“Whole team”, where’d you get that from?Sounds good. Trade your whole team away for 2 years. Makes perfect sense.
Yeah his reading comprehension is sketchy. One of the three skilled centres, a 2025 first and a salary like Scwartz gets it done.“Whole team”, where’d you get that from?
How is Nemec dryer lint or skin tags? This thread is going to be gold when this Quinn Hughes stuff comes to an end.Yeah his reading comprehension is sketchy. One of the three skilled centres, a 2025 first and a salary like Scwartz gets it done.
Detroit is an option as well. Better than the dryer lint and skin tags offered up by the Swamp Creatures.
A right shot defender isn’t really a need for Vancouver. How is Nemec dryer lint or skin tags? This thread is going to be gold when this Quinn Hughes stuff comes to an end.
It's Hyperbole, why are they giving up assets for 2 years? What is this?“Whole team”, where’d you get that from?
Who says he wouldn't re-up there long term? That team is loaded with young talent. It's Hyperbole, why are they giving up assets for 2 years? What is this?
Fine but that shouldn't put down the player. Nemec is a blue chip asset not some run of the mill throw in.A right shot defender isn’t really a need for Vancouver.
It's pretty clear we are never going to agree on this whole situation. As a devils fan I'm willing to roll the dice and see what Quinn does in two years if our package around one of our blue chip d prospects and Mercer and picks isn't enough.Who says he wouldn't re-up there long term? That team is loaded with young talent.
If Seattle wants to start winning to ensure the fanbase remains engaged, there’s no better player to do so than Quinn Hughes. If it doesn’t work out and he’s not willing to stay, his value at the trade deadline in 2 years is still likely huge for a rental. It's Hyperbole, why are they giving up assets for 2 years? What is this?
