Did he know? Maybe he is getting some skin in another venture. Ex Nike Exec did this. LA largest Ball and Nike market no question. If say he got a contract from Nike or affiliate that stands to make him 250m why not pull the trigger.

I seen the trade on ig and I thought it was one of those bs accounts. Didn’t think there’s any chance it was real. I immediately go to tsn and I seen the return and couldn’t believe it. Didn’t think Dallas would ever trade him. Like why. I don’t get it. There has to be something bigger happening behind the scenes. Who just randomly trades their franchise player.

We often talk about meddling ownership, and we know/see it first hand with MLSE. You want to see your GM have full autonomy to make moves...

...but geez, a situation like this you would think ownership would at least be given a heads up as to what would be a franchise altering trade.

so many fans cancelling their mavs tv and saying they won't support the team at least until Nico Harris is gone. Alot of european fans who would stay up till 6-7am to watch the mavs games.

The fact that it was done under such secrecy makes it even more gut wrenching for the fans and everyone involved

This definitely adds to the NBA is rigged narrative.

And while I don’t usually believe in that stuff this trade looks pretty corrupt lol.
