The team is healthy and playing like shit. The defense is brutal. Poor communication, late switching, not enough physicality etc.

I thought a healthy team would ruin their draft position but I might be wrong with that.

Not knowing exactly how the NBA draft it ... do they have any pick that would land them a talent, or just more of the same?

I don't see any fear of that. May as well let Darko command this tank straight to Berlin

I’m honestly impressed that despite this DISGUSTING record, the Raptors are still Top 10 in NBA attendance….averaging just above 18,849. Impressive. I was worried the lure would fall off, but it looks like the GTA has enough basketball fans now to fill the arena up regardless of the Raptors record.

This is why the “Leafs boycott” would never work BTW, because even if Leafs fans boycotted the team, plenty of hockey fans in the GTA to fill that arena up every night.

Rebuilding in Toronto isnt has bad for business as was told to us so many times during the mid 2000’s. How many times did the Leafs refuse to tank because they wanted to get that playoff revenue! Both the Raptors and obviously the Leafs have such a solid foundation in the city that even having a 20 win season won’t hurt them financially all the while helping cement a top 3-5 pick in the draft! It’s painful watching this team but it has to happen. We badly need another top talent here

The core of Scottie, RJ, IQ, Poeltl is mediocre and will cost $120M next season. When you rebuild, do it properly and just feel pure youth and draft picks. Doing a retool on the fly banking on getting lucky is a fool's errand. If the '25 1st round pick doesn't hit, thus team could flounder for several years in no man's land.

Going strictly youth is how teams like Charlotte become bad forever, or Detroit ends up losing 25? straight. NBA salaries are high, sure it's a lot of money but Poeltl can be moved, and the other contracts aren't forever. I think the base is good, they are having a tank season while playing youth... and some tradeable assets on the roster, control of their own pick. Really kind of a best case scenario unless people expected a playoff team. If the draft picks going forward fail, then the team is in a bad spot but that's true for any NBA rebuild unless you can attract stars to your city, by them forcing their way to you.

Why are the executives not fired. If it was Leafs Shanny would be gone.

They won a championship and get some extra run way after trying to run in back with the beat up corpses of the championship roster. There is no clear path to quick success in the current NBA landscape so it's slow and steady. Not the best comparison since Shanahan has won nothing and is still employed.

Jacob is only moved if they get blown away with an offer, which is not likely. They have nobody to replace him. I think they want to be in the play-in or playoffs next year. Otherwise, they would definitely move him. We will see how the next 50 games go and if it gives management some sense into what this team can be. If the pieces don’t fit, they can always pivot.

I don't disagree. I've mentioned in this thread a few times he's a good piece on a nice contract really and no one to replace like you said. Leaves a black hole on the team more than subtracting anyone else.

Seeing all the talent at the top end of this draft is incredible. I'd be ecstatic with anyone currently ranked in the top 5 but I really would love to Raptor the Flagg.

After several putrid performances in a row, the Raps looked very good in that game. No issues with them losing to the Cavs by that close. Shead probably played his best NBA game.

Olynyk looks cooked. Not sure if his back is still bothering him.

Cleveland just played a highly emotional game last night against OKC. This almost ended up like a let down game for them.

They played great just to loss perfect game .
Keep your top 3 position .
They need a game changer the only way through the draft for the Raptors.

Ace Bailey made for Toronto pick
