i dont think there are any good options left at center, they are more likely to see what we have in precious imo. we are gonna be a really odd team when it comes to positions this year me thinks.
Positionless basketball... they said they wanted it, and it is happening!

Another warm body signed and yet another forward. Seems to me they are loading up on forward types which could signal the end of Pascal in Toronto.

I think the issues he had with team last year has firmly placed the team to look into another direction. The drafting of Barnes and the continued signings and players taken back in the Lowry trade show them going another direction. Only time will tell.

I doubt we see anything happen with Siakim. Had a rough couple of years, and they probably want to see him build his value more before considering trading him for a poor return. Nothing we've seen this summer impacts Pascal, the players they've signed are likely end of the rotation guys.

I'm surprised that Toronto has only signed scrubs so far. If that's the plan, save your money and don't spend it on players you're going to cut anyways. Sam Dekker? Ishmail Wainright? Come on, there were better options available.

terence davis signs with the kings.

they now have fox, haliburton, davis, mitchell, hield, and wright as guards
thats alot of guards that are gonna want minutes.
:naughty:
Delon Wright went to Atlanta in a 3-way deal about a week ago and they got Tristan Thompson

Are we preparing to tank this season? It appears that way so far, and might not be a bad idea.

Not surprising they aren’t players in the free agent market.

I also wonder if Covid is a factor in some of this as well.

Either way, as it stands this team will have trouble scoring consistently, but should be a pain to play against

Getting players to sign here is tough when things are good, let alone during a pandemic where there public health measures may be more strict than other markets. It wouldn't surprise me if the pandemic factored into players not wanting to sign with us.

The Lowry trade isn't complete yet. Everyone pump the breaks on the whole tanking idea, this team will plan to compete one way or another. That's the DNA of the organization.. Once Lowry is officially moved that opens a lot more doors. Give it a week or 2 before evaluating how this team will be, chances are there are some big changes coming.

Thanks Kyle! We may never get a Leaf parade at this point but we had a great seat for yours!

this is kinda funny, i was beginning to wonder myself if he existed.

Its about time we have been able to put a face to a draft pick. All joking aside. Go and watch game film on this kid. He's in the mold of Norman Powell. Can shoot, rebound, hustle and D at 6"5. I believe this kid is the steal of the draft. He will be Trent's backup.

ive seen all kinds of film already. its crazy he was projected as a late teens pick at the beginning of the year..his team asked him to work on stuff and for all intents and purposes he improved in every area they asked(from 21% 3point to 38%!!!!) and because i guess his ppg went down his draft stock dropped??? crazy...this was a big steal to me and i think hes gonna make the team and play real minutes.

you can do both, play the right kind of basketball and be competetive and still lose games.
maybe "tank" is the wrong word..develop might be a better word for this situation. but with our roster as is we have no shot at a chip so why not play all the kids big minutes, allow them to try and let them make their mistakes without having to shelter them or give them limited minutes due to playoff aspirations etc.
in the end we might make the playoffs but i just dont see the point in trying to make the playoffs over seeing what we have with our young guys and giving them the opportunity to develop faster.

this team isnt the kings or cavs, we dont having a losing program like them so im not concerned with putting development ahead of wins for a year or 2 if it gets us back to true contention earlier.
