His offensive skills are elite

They may be, but not his IQ! If he was able to "see the ice" like Hutson, he would be amazing, but unfortunately few can. As a strictly offensive dman, he would not be a good bottom pairing defenseman and not dependable enough to be a top 4 for the Habs. Maybe he can be traded in a package, or as some have suggested, moving to the wing.
