How long do you let a team run Suzuki-Evans-Dvorak as their top three centers? Regardless of the rebuild.
Been saying it forever that we will never win anything unless we improve our centre ice depth.

We barely have a #1C,,,,and we expect to go places?

It's been 30 frickin years like this and then you wonder why we haven't won a cup in all that time,

I hope you're not serious??? Do you really think Matheson would have done better today? All of mtl fwd sucked. And you don't send a guy that you just signed a big fat contract and who's coming from a 50pts season at 20years old, down in the ahl just because he's in a rought patch. It's exactly the opposite of what you should do.... .
Matheson has a good shot, defensive players would have to focus on multiple players.

On paper yes, in reality no. Like Reinbacher. Could be one, two games. See how he was playing. Now go to explain to other players that someone can play any way and still make a play, and someone can't.

Laine was healthy last season - scratch, didn't play a few games in the third period. He had a great season the season before last. But Pascal Vincent wasn't afraid to show a player that he has to improve. Although in his case the reason was a concussion, he probably came back early. Why couldn't Slafkovsky?

P.S. I'm Slovak

This yr is becoming depressing as at least 2 yrs ago, you thought Dach was progressing and last year Slaf was taking a step

This year, nothing. No player that has a future with this team is improving currently

Even Suzuki is taking a step back and he was generally consistent comparatively.

Its boring, bad hockey and little effort is the norm with the team

Demidov is only thing keeping this somewhat in the right direction

Dach?

The whole mess of getting hemmed in the D zone started w Dipshit losing his board battle & stick, then having to go to the bench ..
Yes, Dach got the puck clean after Barron went off. And he tried a hail mary pass to the player coming on for Barron, instead of taking care of the puck. Utah came the other way, went right around Dach, and scored.

We have successfully neutered the little offense that we once had in our attempts to look competitive.
The players who can make a difference clearly don't give a flying f*** for this game plan.
I can't see this getting better anytime soon very few players are putting the team first.
The question I'm asking myself is Why?

They don’t have a Jeff Petry who will come out publicly and call out the coach.

Now people who think any relevant UFA is signing here in MTL are kidding themselves. No freaking chance this is happening.

Draft or trade is the only options for this shitty team.

Because amongst other things, the veteran leadership is completely non existent. Who do the young guys look to for inspiration when they see ghosts like DVo Armia, Anderson and Savard give no second effort..

HuGo have to come down in the room (if it was not already done) and kick the shit out of them.

I'm sorry I'm saying this but sometimes I wish we had a team like Toronto, I know they suck in playoffs but at least they're great during the season and scores a tons of goals.

There is a difference between getting benched in the 3rd period to send a message and getting demoted to the ahl. Talk about destroying the confidence of your 1ov. They all play like shit. Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, Newhook. Should they send them down too?
