I believe the latest poll ended 6/20 so a name could have been selected and hasn't been revealed officially.

Could be waiting for logo to be finalized and merch made before announcing

I'd wager that Smith already picked a name and this is fan service and engagement... Blizzard, Venom, Outlaws, Mammoth, HC, and Yeti are the final 6 right? Color wise, enough difference from the Charlotte Hornets to go with a "bee" logo if they opt for Venom.

Looks like Jazz Bear will be doing double duty this season.

Guessing new mascot will be revealed with nickname/permanent logo.

Well, a Yeti's cousin is the sasquatch, and basically all bigfoot sightings are drunk dudes misidentifying a bear at a distance, so this kind of fits.
