I was going to say I'd go with Caribou until I found out there are actually none in Utah ??? Lol, what's up with that ?? That's like putting a team in Florida and calling them the Blizzard, lol....Guess I'd go with the Mountaineers or Venom...Horrible list that should include more native animals like Big Horn Sheep, Rattlers, etc.

Someone suggested Utah Pronghorns and I like that much more than anything on this list. Fastest animal in North America, distinctive horn shape for logos, native to the state, etc.

Sports aren’t exactly creative when it comes to names for teams. So I’d go for Caribou, use Manitoba Moose for inspiration. Mammoth and use Mammoth mountain for inspiration and Swarm for what it means to Utah.

Wow those are basically all awful. When I heard they were going to wait until 2025 to announce a name I was like that's f***ing dumb just pick a name. But if that's the list they're working with then woof, maybe inspiration will strike.

Utah Outlaws is the only one that doesn't blow the big hairy bird. Gary should have just let them take the Coyotes name, even if the NHL goes back to AZ eventually seems better to start fresh from all that.

I really like the Swarm out of everything on that above list. When the FHL had the New Jersey Outlaws a decade or so ago I interned for them so I naturally have bias against that name.

Everything else sounds equally cheese or out of place or just, not that great. Like, The Utah Squall...really, is just red meat for opposing fans.

Swarm works great for a hockey team despire having nothing to do with ice. When people talk about the team, they would just reference it by "Bees"?

I always thought Outlaws is complete nonsense, just a gimmick. Yeah, cool whatever. It has no relation whatsoever.

I would think with long history of winter sports in SLC, they could have come up with something more traditional, snowy or icy.

Utah Saints i like, but it is a band, so Idk if that's an issue. Maybe combine with an icy word? Like Frosted, Gleaming, Cold?

I saw Outlaws just because I suspect the new owners will do what Vegas has done and I suspect the moment there will be lawsuits from one or two of the teams in the link below who already use the Outlaw name. None are Hockey but that has never stopped anyone else from suing previously.

Everyone complaining about the suggestions but I haven’t seen any better suggestions. I will agree that a lot of these names don’t really sound like an NHL team.

I personally like the Utah Drones (after Male Bees)
