Outlaws is beer league type of name. I think that's why it was put aside.

Mammoth is fine. It fits the area. As some have stated before, names are never universally liked. They become liked over time because people get used to it. Clearly, some people would have loved outlaws, which I thought would have been really amateur. Some would have liked Yetis, where I thought the sound of "Yu-ta-Ye-ti" was ridiculous.

At some point, the team in charge does the consulting, make choices and moves on with what they feel comfortable with. I think overall they made a solid choice (if it is indeed their final choice).

Some, absolutely... but in part that's because there are way more minors and junior teams than professional ones.

But, for every Rebels or Hitmen, there is a (WHL) Hurricanes that have shitty logos and get sued over them... and a (WHL) Tigers with a melting face.

I get it. But it's one of the few team names I can think of that still works as a singular like Wild and Lightning. I hope they get creative with the logo and jersey and do something like this.

Easily my favorite jersey and logo design ever.

Buffaslug was perhaps the most atrocious logo in history but those old Sabre jerseys they went with get honorable mention as one of the best too
