Look Jakey, you can praise the guys bottom line all you want, but that doesn’t change the obvious fact that the guy wanted to be in the club. The NBA turned him away, he found himself a spot in the NHL and was removed from the club as a failure.

That's your opinion. Being turned away by the NBA or the NHL doesn't mean such person is a business failure. AM is such a slimy asshat that Nevada granted him a casino license.

This is the biggest problem with business and society today! For a business to be successful it must generate money for it's shareholders, strong ROI and good cash flow. Some of the most unethical son of bitches are deemed to be successful. I believe success should be judged on the impact it has to it's workers, environment and it's community first. Shareholder should be towards the end of evaluating if a company is successful. Sorry hot button getting off my milk create.

Buying the largest social media platform on the planet for $44 billion and turning it's value into a $9 billion platform as of this year isn't what I would call a success.

Understand something about Elon Musk. He is/was not a ground up successful businessman. He was seeded with tens of millions in play money by his father and sent off to college in Canada and the US.

He's what I would call an expert at playing the OPM game. He did not create Tesla, nor SpaceX for that matter. And those two companies could thrive on their own in spite of him. But he's a master at finding the right idea at the right time and manipulating his way into the top spot for it.

Something popped into my head a long time ago...... that you have to think that a 40 year perfect record of revitalizing failing businesses...... the odds were going to finally catch up to him.
