Hopefully someone claims him and gives him a chance. Absolutely ridiculous guys like DiSimone, Valimaki, Bortuzzo and even Mermis at one point played over him.

What's the knock against him ? I remember there was some hype in his draft year, mainly cause of how great a skater he was, but what's holding him ? Besides internal politics.

f***ing wild decision making. He's clearly not only an NHL player but a pretty good one. I could easily see him becoming a top 4 player. The fact you waived him and couldn't even get anything for him is absolutely baffling. He's definitely gotta be at worst worth a 3rd or 2nd.

He’s pretty young (23) with over 60 nhl games and not that bad. 46th youngest defensemen to play in any games in the nhl this season. If you filter to at least 10 nhl games this season, he’s 34th youngest defensemen.

With season almost over, this could be a chance for someone to “steal” a potential guy by stashing him on the roster for the rest of the season. If Hawks weren’t already log jammed with young LHD I’d want them to do it.

My guess is he gets claimed and he doesn’t get fair the waiver list…

A team like Philly that’s planning to trade some D at the deadline should be all over him…

He has been overtaken in Utah by other players and lost his spot in the depth chart. Will be even lower next year with return of Durzi and guys like Duda and Lamoureux pushing for minutes.

I like that he can play both sides but his decision making holds him back. Not enough offense to be more than a bottom pair guy.

Where are the future consideration?!

Clearly not or he wouldn't be on waivers.
