Usports NCAA Commitments

Doesn’t surprise me, I’ve only heard the one UNB name floating around and it wasn’t him.
My impression is Peter is a bit of a homebody and loves being around family and isn’t chasing the NHL dream. Which I think is why there was talk of him coming to UNB a year early.

I’d definitely love to see him stick around , been keeping an eye on his career since he was 13 lol.

Couple of "rumors/facts" to report.

Cohen and Sedore, UPEI going south.
Plandowski, UNB and Reynolds is again rumored.
Roger, SMU going.
Johnston, Motew and Christopoulos, SFX and possibly 1 more.

Edit: add Maillet from SFX.

The Fontaine commitment to Lindenwood was rather jarring for me. Obviously we’ve seen guys commit at lesser programs but him de-commit to UQTR in favour of Lindenwood tells me where people’s heads are at .

100% thought the same thing. I figured the top Canadian schools would lose guys primarily to the bigger NCAA programs…not the Lindenwood’s of the league. And a french player to boot. That’s a bit concerning.

Sounded like his new agent got in his ear and convinced him to change commitments due to scout exposure. Honest question, how much is a team like Lindenwood getting scouted?

I did look at their schedule this past year and they did play some pretty prominent teams, so as much as I doubt many scout are going out of their way to watch Lindenwood , they probably are seeing them play some…

I have nothing to substantiate this , simply guessing but if we hit these numbers I’d say Reynolds , Peer , Plandowski , Elliott , Huckins , McGurn , McGinley would be the most appealing 1st-2nd year guys…

Call me crazy I’m a huge Reynolds fan but I think McGurn is the best all around player of the bunch.

You'd be amazed at what some of theses agents/advisors are telling their players.

There's a better chance of being scouted in Lindenwood then Trois Rivieres

Anyone heard anything about Darveau ? Moncton has added a goaltender already for next year , could just be a third string guy but makes me wonder … he might be the most desirable AUS guy for a team to add.
