Useless thread MMXIII: Aaron Rodgers Appreciation Thread

Headline: A Game 2 blowout in the NBA Finals on Sunday drew an average of 8.76 million viewers, the lowest for a Game 2 in the finals in 18 years – excluding 2020 during the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Meanwhile, game 7 of last year's NHL finals garnered 7.7 million viewers, which was the largest audience since game 7 in 2019 got 8.7 million.

In typical NHL fashion, they try to maximize ratings and still get awful numbers, lirl. At least if you compete with the NBA, you have the excuse of them stealing viewers.

In an honest and insightful conversation with Bill Roth, Whit Babcock breaks down the impact of the newly approved House v. NCAA settlement on Virginia Tech. From student-athlete revenue sharing to structural changes, Whit addresses the challenges and opportunities ahead.

I don't hate basketball or baseball, but the games just drag on for way too long.

Nothing makes me stop caring more than the last 2 minutes of a basketball game going for 10-15 minutes in real time with constant commercial breaks.

I don’t hate the sports because their fans aren’t vocal enough to really give you a reason to hate them. They’re just so boring now. I used to still watch playoff baseball but even that hasn’t really been watchable for me the last few years at this point.
