@TheGreenTBer so I followed the parm risotto recipe from Serious Eats. Risotto came out amazing, but nothing specific about that recipe made it better than any other risotto we've made before. Really the biggest thing is really good and high quality parm.

But we did one tweak that if I told an in person Italian grandmother we did she might castrate me on the spot.

We used Hot Chicken Broth, which I didn't even know was a thing until maybe 3-4 months ago.

I have made broth a few times and it's just not worth the time and effort for me.

100% agree. If I'm going to shortcut I'm shortcutting the broth because the difference with homemade, while noticeable, isn't enough to warrant the hours of time it takes.

Allegedly yes.

Shanahan is the worst of all. A guy that knew what it takes to win, a guy that's been there and done that, and he completely sold his soul for corporate greed.

More than anyone else, he is responsible for this. I don't like Dubas and for good reason but it's NOTHING compared to how I feel about Brendan Shanahan.

Have a good buddy staying with us for about a week, and he has turned into the worst house guest ever. It's insane how much he's mooched while providing literally nothing. He's stayed with us before and never been like this. It's really weird.

He even snuck a $20 burger on my tab the other day.

What drives me nuts is if he just straight up said he was having money issues I'd happily cover everything.

Instead I'll probably just never invite him over again and he usually comes to stay with us for a week or two 1-2 times a year.
