People are shitty but most people learned how to brush off a joke years ago instead of making a documentary in their adult years. Andrew Yang talks about growing up in a mostly white neighborhood of NY where he was called slurs all the time and he doesn't care

Heck the same thing goes on here where @End of Line has nothing better to do than to make endless fat jokes or "peanut" jokes that I don't care about because I'm too busy in the real world lol

This is an instance where a line of dialog has become a racially insensitive punchline, and it has a definitive source that happens to be one of the most popular cartoons of all time.

Does the documentary even state that Apu is a racist character, or does it talk about the character unintentionally spawning various stereotypes? Of course you didn't watch the documentary, so consider that a rhetorical question to think about.

The suggestion of "Hey, maybe you should stop doing this because it has a negative effect" is not cancel culture, you cretin.
