Tab Mix Plus. There's nothing close to that on Chrome, and it is arguably one of the most convenient features on Firefox.

The only thing I've noticed in terms of "performance" is that Chrome seems to start faster and use a bit less RAM (although not always). In terms of page loading, the difference is arguably unnoticeable (unless you're like one of those who whines about a game running at 50 FPS instead of 60 FPS)

And regarding speed I must say it seems Firefox downloads (different from loading pages) faster than Chrome actually, from my experience.

Because it can't be done with Firefox.

Firefox on mobile is certainly not as efficient as Chrome, but at least you can block images when on the LTE - something they seem to have removed in Chrome in favour of their "compressing" thing which allows to load things using less data (but it still doesn't prevent images from being loaded)

Well, Firefox is not bad on mobile. People who see a huge difference in a page loading 0.1-0.5s faster are just insane.
