That was the narrative among her fans, yep. Peoples hate of Mayweather probably contributed to the hyperbole but stuff like this didn't help either...

Regardless of the complete absurdity of that narrative, I never paid it much attention because it was so outlandish.

Ronda's striking ability was always talked about as a weakness and she'd never been tested by anybody that could expose it. It bothered me that she gained legendary status among the public and was hailed as some transformational athlete that everybody revered when she'd done nothing to deserve it. The arrogance that came along with it was also annoying. The moment somebody kept her on her feet, she looked like a rank amateur and got KTFO. Now that it's happened twice, there's no excuse left. Such a sore loser too... refuses to talk to media when she loses, humps their legs when she wins.
