I.O.I.’s and Wanna one’s members domestic popularity was comparable with idols from big companies. Not suprising that a lot of them got casting calls from k-drama industry, especially that CJ ent (which mnet is subsidiary) has enormous influence there. Right from the start Sejeong got main lead in School 2017. Also 7 other ex-members have acting experience. Especially worth mention is Kim So-hye who was originally acting trainee. She has really good taste and got couple nominations for the best new actress for film Moonlit winter (2019).
