Yes we all give 15% here.

In Europe people don't tip I know

Idk, I don't like tipping for carryout, although I feel like a dick when I don't.

It's a shitty justification, but if we don't tip fast food workers, then why are we tipping the restaurant for doing the same thing by handing me my food?

When I worked at Wendy's, there was no tip jar, as if we were in a completely different industry than Starbucks, for example.

Fast food workers truly get the shortest of the short end of the stick

can't believe people still think you have improved logic or "ability to think" if you know more math

The worst things you will ever see in the world

- eigenvalue

- double integral

- partial derivative

anyone nerdy enough to understand these concepts needs to get a grip

Why would you, they just did their job.

It's not like having a fit waitress who was nice and friendly and on hand for drink refills or whatever, and deserving of something extra

All they did was do their job and hand you a bag of food
Dwight Schrute:
Why tip someone for a job I'm capable of doing myself? I can deliver food, I can drive a taxi, I can and do cut my own hair. I did, however, tip my urologist. Because I am unable to pulverize my own kidney stones.

The way America does tipping is totally f***ed, as it allows restaurants to pay less than minimum wage, essentially offloading that cost onto the customers

If I order a cheap salad or expensive steak, the server is still doing the same amount of work.

In that case, there's no guaranteed way to tip the kitchen at most restaurants

A UK Starbucks might have a charity tin at the counter for change you don't want, to ironically go to some African children or something who directly suffer from Starbucks' non fair trade cocoa bean sourcing.

Not a tip jar to pay their staff for them

Wait, you even tip at f***ing Starbucks?

That company well known for being one of the most exploitative of the third world?

I was talking about how Starbucks is okay with tips jars, but fast food restaurants typically don't allow them.

I fail to see how overpriced coffee is more deserving of a tip than cheap food

Yeah, at Wendy's we had the charity donation box, which is also f***ed.

You're giving money directly to the restaurant with no guarantee it's getting donated. Usually, they're donating that money and writing it off on their taxes, so you would be better off donating directly to the charity

Yeah to me Starbucks just falls under the umbrella definition of fast food because obviously they don't just do coffee. I view them similarly to stuff like Subway and McDonald's. It's the same business model with the franchise system

"If we pay fast food workers $15/hour a burger will cost $15!"

The people that honestly believe that shit, without fail, do not understand anything about running a business or macroeconomics

BF4 is too hilarious especially with the destructible environments

I was camping an objective waiting for people to come and blow it up and someone just blew up the wall with C4, taking me out, and then planted a bomb on the objective

BF5 and 1 have had destructible environments but it's not the same IIRC

Also when you're on the lower level and someone blows the supports off and the building collapses killing you and everyone else in the building
