I find there's a massive amount of recency bias as well on IMDB

I'd agree with 5.9 and below being unwatchable, 6.0-6.9 is bad, 7.0-7.9 is stuff basic people like, 8.0-8.4 is good and anything above 8.5 is masterpice

Also, people care too much about wanting something they like to be highly rated. If you liked it, who cares what the rating is.

People will say "This movie is flawless," when they should be saying "I love this movie in spite of it's flaws."

Whenever the first modern X-Men movie came out, I was staying with my grandparents for a week during the summer.

Before I left, my dad specifically told me that I can't ask my grandmother to take me to see X-Men, claiming that she won't like it.

Oh f*** off, dad, I'm sure my grandmother would have "endured" a 104 minute movie to make her grandson happy and to spend some time with me.

Then my sister went up there later in the summer. When she came back, I had to hear a bunch of stories about my grandmother taking her to go see The Nutty Professor, which was just so much more appealing to my grandmother, I'm certain.

That's why I've never seen any of the X-Men movies

A few years later, we were watching TV when Commando came on, to which my grandmother starting quoting along with the film.

I still very distinctly remember her saying the "I lied" line in perfect rhythm with Arnold

x1 2 DoFP The Wolverine and Apocalypse are on Disney+ though

X3 is alright (Last Stand) but is not on D+

DArk Phoenix is terrible

I watched a Red Letter Media review of Days of Future Past.

They're describing the film and one of them says "Bryan Singer is man that has been recently accused...... of making two really great X-Men movies!"

Batman's dad says Martha as his dying wish. I won't lie, it made me laugh.

Young Bruce is in some kind of cave filled with bats, now he's just floating for no f***ing reason.

Oh, it was a dream

Text on screen, says Metropolis and Mankind is introduced to the superman.

Yeah, we know, that happened in the last movie.

Oh, we're seeing Batman's perspective during the city fight thing, despite him having no significance in Man of Steel

Yes, the first 10 minutes is the best time to add an action scene that has absolutely no tension because it's a flashback.

They do seem wise enough to downplay the Metropolis fight.... lol I say that right as they show Batman driving under a spaceship as it crashes through 20 city blocks.

Jeep product placement. Yeah, Bruce Wayne drives a Jeep lirl

Again, Metropolis is under attack, and we just see people standing there and watching the attack.

Batman looks on as the AC130 crashes into Zod's ship, in a what they thought was probably a really cool scene, but it isn't.

Now Batman is just running towards the center of the damage as we see more people just standing around

Batman watches a building topple over and his reaction is to run towards it.

I think Wayne Enterprises was the building that just fell.

Batman saves a girl from falling debris... Why was Superman not doing that during Man of Steel

Batman questions the little girl as to where her parents are, she points at a half-destroyed building, making me laugh in the process.

Why is Batman such a caring person, that seems somewhat against his character.

Batman sees Superman and Zod fighting, Ben Affleck tries to put on a serious face.

Okay, end of flashback

"Somewhere in the Indian ocean"

We can see the planet drive thing in the background, so it's not an unknown location.

Some James Cameron looking guy getting people to scavenge stuff from the water

Ugh, Lois Lane.

I'm still yet to see a compelling reason why I should care about her.

Hell, she's the one that leaked the story about Superman.

Lois meeting some warlord. I'm struggling to care about any scene with her in it.

Cameraman smuggled some kind of GPS tracker in.

Oh, let's take a wild guess who is going to show up and save Lois
