Watching Contagion without knowing anything about it.

5 minutes in and I'm convinced this is a comedy because there's no way all of this comedy is unintentional.

They do this mediocre little montage showing people getting sick around the world. It started with this one guy that was visibly sick on public transit and it spread around the world.

Then we see that same sick guy stumbling through a wet market, with this hilariously ridiculous view of his distorted vision, before he walks into traffic and gets run over.

And then Lawrence Fishbourne talks about betting on the Lions. This has to be satire.

Healthcare professionals, government officials and everyday people find themselves in the midst of a pandemic as the CDC works to find a cure.

Contagion and these other type of movies are hilariously bad because they always depict these apparently really contagious, deadly diseases and there's always a happy ending and they manage to contain it. In reality it would be more like Stephen King's The Stand and they wouldn't be able to properly track and trace the source in time and 99% of the population would die
