Maybe it's just cause Sword and Shield was a disappointment

The analytics say that Warzone destroys Pokemon in terms of viewership. 88k over 20k. Again, ONE WARZONE STREAMER EQUALS ONE GAME VIEWERSHIP (NickMercs)

Sad
After being debunked left and right on the relevancy of the Pokémon franchise, you'll now just stick to that one single thing (Twitch viewers) I see. I'm in no way saying SwSh have more players than the biggest competitive online games on the market.

The game was fun but it could have been much better (expectations were not met). I do not disagree with that. Still sold 17M+ copies.

I'm actually surprised they are trying to do a MOBA game for Pokemon though.
Honestly, a non-mobile MOBA Pokémon game (with the depth of LoL or DotA, say) could totally work and would probably become big on the competitive scene too (more so than the current VGC format). Pokémon would also fit well with a MOBA style game since there could be various elements from the main series you could include to make it strategically appealing (evolutions, level up moves, limited moveslots, items, abilities, natures, EVs, etc.)

I was going to look up someone playing it but I just noticed that it wasn't one of those "out now" titles. It could be an interesting concept if they go that way. I just wonder how many people would actually stick to it though instead of only playing it for a short time and then going right back to League or something else.

Valorant had massive numbers when it first went into beta a few months ago and people thought it was going to become the next best thing and would overtake CS:GO.
I don't think it has come even close to it though now that it's officially launched, and honestly I don't hear ANYTHING about that game now, and looking at some of the numbers it isn't impressive for a game that was supposed to dominate the market.

Yeah, it's still in development. But I'm not talking about that Unite game because it won't be big at all due to being a cheap knockoff.

As for a real Pokémon MOBA, I don't think it would outdo League, but I think it could remain amongst the most popular still, especially if it has enough features to distinguish it from League, since Pokémon is very well established in markets where MOBAs are quite popular.

Ahh gotcha.

What else could they even come up with for Pokemon now though I wonder.

It was just an intersting topic of discussion on Twitch yesterday about Ninja leaving Twitch to become "Mixer Exclusive" on a 30 million dollar contract, of which he was let go of because Mixer went under (Microsoft streaming). It really just goes to show you that ain't nobody stream outside of Twitch and it's curious whehter Ninja would come back to Twitch which is without a doubt the premier platform for streaming. If one of your streamers goes offline you can switch to another follow. if Ninja goes offline who the f*** are you gonna watch on that platform. Not viable
