Agreed. The nice parts are nice but super expensive and the bad parts of DC are really f***ing bad.

Yeah exactly I couldn’t afford what I’d want if you gave me a 50% discount.

Outside DC. Inside DC is still expensive.

There are places but they're pretty far from the lab. I'd prefer not to drive 30 or 40 minutes through traffic.

Why would I want to live 30-40 minutes away from where I actually want to be?

zillow has a whack API

I usually search Zillow, Homie, and Redfin

why not look at foreclosures if they’re for sale?

our first house was a foreclosure.

9361 Irving Street, Westminster, CO 80031 | MLS 5742338 | Listing Information | Westminster, CO

nothing wrong with it per se, ours wasn't great structurally and that really hit us hard on the other end. We were probably out $40-80k on sale price due to the issues.

they're not all going to be rough like that, but I'd be more hesitant if i'm spending $350k+ on a place. It's nice to know whatever you're getting was at least cared for in its life.

Hope you have luck getting a home in CO. Searching for a home is stressful, scary and exciting all at the same time.

Why don’t you see if you can even assemble a Lego house properly first.

$20 says you can’t.
dude this house flipping shit is stuff I geek out on

Maybe I should look into purchasing some foreclosures and working with some licensed contractors to flip houses. This is easy money fellas

You would actually have to leave the house and talk to people

Like if I could do anything in the world I'd be a house flipper. That guy said he went straight out of college without any degree and started making relationships with local contractors and is already flipping homes. You can start at any age.

People I am pretty excited
