It's not that introducing ads or cracking down on password sharing were awful, company-killing ideas with no upsides, but they're both things the consumers don't want, so implementing them around the same time was so stupid of Netflix to do.
Doesn't help that every company with a media library started their own streaming service. Would have been nice if society as a whole had said "f*** that shit" when those started popping up.
I'll tell you this, I might cancel Netflix, but I'm certainly not signing up for another streaming service.
