Also, even the Japanese attack scene in Pearl Harbour is really really good, despite the rest of the movie being absolute trash, and that's the scene where you'd expect him to really overdo it with the explosions in typical Michael Bay fashion

Bad Boys 2 is also better than any Zack Snyder movie, in spite of it being the most ridiculously masturbatory and over-the-top clusterf*** that lasts 2 and a half hours.

My dad took me to see that when it came out, I would have been barely 13, lirl.

That clown (and some say alleged racist) Richard Roeper hated it, but he's a clueless douche that ranked it beneath literal shit like Epic Movie, Date Movie, and Disaster Movie.

One could argue that Bad Boys 2 is so stupid and unhinged that it becomes self-parody, but there's simply no way that it's a worse-made movie than those pathetic Seltzer and Friedberg piles of garbage that can barely be considered movies.

It's like saying a go-kart is a better car than a Toyota Camry because the go-kart is a lot cheaper while offering the same basic features, such as a steering wheel, a motor, and 4 wheels. Even if the Camry is the worst car ever, it's still an actual car and not a toy lacking the basic requirements to be considered a car.

Safe to say Synthetik: Legion Rising is f***ing great.

Think of Enter the Gungeon, but drop all the cartoony playfulness and replace it with the raw feel and difficulty of Counter Strike.

I actually liked The Island even though it takes a downward turn in the 2nd half of the movie, and is littered with OTT product-placement. (This is also the part where @Ceremony comes along to comment on how seeing ScarJo cutting about in a tight white bodysuit was crucial to his sexual awakening in his formative years)

I have maintained for years that the story was actually a really solid concept, and would have worked really well as a series.
I would never use the phrase sexual awakening.

But yes.

Enter the Gungeon is in my PS4 library but I'm not really sure what it is or how it got there. Is it any good?

Michael Benjamin Bay is an American film director and producer. He is best known for making big-budget, high-concept action films characterized by fast cutting, stylistic cinematography and visuals, and extensive use of special effects, including frequent depictions of explosions.
Bay has had two good movies. The Rock, and Bad Boys.

Admittedly I just learned the difference earlier, but it's annoying seeing all this stuff on Google that doesn't know the difference between a roguelike and a roguelite.

As far as I understand it, the difference is simply that roguelites have permanent incremental progression between runs.

Yet you Google "best roguelikes" and so many of the suggestions are wrong by that definition.

In February 2005, as his team prepared to play Georgia Tech, Krzyzewski hit peak intensity. The night before the game, he played the team a battle scene from "Braveheart," showing William Wallace lopping off heads and planting a sword in the ground. The following day, the team ran out for layups and then returned to the locker room. The Cameron crowd was booming. The assistants put on "Braveheart" again and as Wallace planted his sword, Krzyzewski came screaming into the room, waving his old Army saber. He planted his sword into a big planter of dirt an assistant had strategically placed.
"Let's go, motherf---ers!" Krzyzewski yelled.

This transformation from Duke hater to almost idolizing Coach K has been mesmerizing to watch.
