They don't have working plumbing in Canada. Pipes freeze up too much from the sub zero temperatures 10 months of the year.

When I lived up north in Timmins (where our winters were -40 below with the wind, or even colder) we never had a pipe burst…knock on wood. And I lived there over 20 years.

Were we lucky?? Yes. But we also would leave our bathroom tap running just a wee wee bit in order to prevent pipes from freezing.

And Canadians don’t have subzero temperatures for 10 months outta 12.
