It's a small town football is probably big there

News spreads fast... about some kid who has never played football merely being invited to practice after the coach was the only person who noticed him make one catch and one throw.

That show seems awful. I don't care if it was cheaply made for The WB or whatever, it looks like shit through and through.

Had to buy a new computer at work and it has Windows 11 on it.

First time using it... holy shit, stop changing and moving shit with no rhyme or reason in name of "user friendliness".

Example: right clicking no longer has cut, copy, and paste as lines of text, no, they're little pictures now (to make it more like Office, I assume).

And I can't seem to uncombine taskbar buttons to make the taskbar actually useful, so I'm stuck with the stupid collection of icons with no text, and that awful clutter that happens when you have multiple windows of the same program open.

Thankfully it's not a computer I'll be using everyday, as I have to permanently install it in one of our devices to add some new functionality.

The software it's going to run accesses a DLL, so it's easier to just leave Windows on it.

I haven't even tried Windows 11 until today. It seems more usable in some aspects, but some stuff is just different enough to be annoying.

i have my windows 11-based work laptop stuck in the closet next to the servers plugged in and i only use it to help other devs debug their docker environments since it's pretty different windows v. linux. otherwise she gets no use at all.

luckily we're moving to microservices and as such will be full-time linux soon. i'm sure some devs will stick with windows - we're still a .net shop and it's probably easier to have some stuff still on windows, but i'm happy i stuck around long enough to see this day come about.

Exit-only lane backed up onto the highway.

Then there's idiots and/or assholes who wait until the last second to get into the exit-only lane, where if no one let's them over, they're perfectly content to stop and block an entire highway lane.

Then we get off the highway, there's a decent amount of space to merge, these f***ing idiots use none of the merge lane and try to get over immediately, so they end up stopped, blocking everyone behind them.

God damn, what a shit show

"U" know darned well I am not a Pitt alum. Mark went to Alderdice High in the Burgh, which was about 5 minutes from the little Jewish Day school I went to. Never met him though.

Make sure you ask him how he feels about Daniel Snyder too.........I'll bet he is more a fan of Sweet Carolyn! :naughty:

He is so stupid.........how does he think Hope will react when she finds out how he sabotaged her mom.
