You seem to have forgotten that just a couple years ago fans wanted to run Larranaga out of town because of how bad the team was & how they were playing with a grand total of 7 players many nights. Guess what. He proved everyone wrong & rebuilt the program very quickly to what it is today.

Mario can & WILL do the same (he's already rebuilding it via the portal & recruiting) & you know in your heart & mind that this is true & THAT is what scares you the most.
1) it doesn't matter who you recruit if you can't coach, look at A&M who brought in a highly paid NIL class and STILL failed
2) as stated before Mario has his work cut out for him in a tougher ACC Coastal. Maybe the press won't project him to win the Coastal this year during the ACC meetings
3) At this time Miami STILL lacks a QB or depth and an improved OL won't fix that

The problem is the ACC is filled with rising young teams of which Miami is not one of them. Mario got more than he bargained for moving to the ACC from the weak Pac-12 where there are only 2 contenders (Oregon / Utah before USC hired Lincoln). In Oregon he got an easy road to the conference championship game. In the ACC he has to compete with Duke, UNC, and Pitt, and that's just from the Coastal!

And who knows how much better GT will be with their new coach. It's not going to be easy and you can recruit all the talent you want but a lot of these schools are also recruiting talent and even worse, are RETURNING talent (isn't Maye coming back for another year)
I see your left out your own alma mater from that list. :biglaugh: Oh but I forgot, you still have Michigan, USC, Army & heaven knows who else to fall back on.

Mario may end up being mediocre (remember at this point he is WORSE than mediocre) but giving him a 10 year contract was a huge mistake.

The same school that Miami struggled so much to beat.

Ok, This shall be revisited next fall. It is pointless to argue about this until we see the results of the rebuild on the field.

The problem with yinz is that you hype up Miami every year in the offseason bragging about transfers and the portal and coaches and then fall flat come game time. Miami won 3 ACC games this year. 3. Miami was projected to win the Coastal. Miami was supposed to undergo rapid success with a "coaching upgrade" but didn't.

That said, Mario's teams have improved in year 2 at FIU and Oregon. But for Miami it seems improvement might be 6-6 or 7-5 which is not good enough. Miami should not rely on bowl expectations for success.

Imagine having a media library that I'm in control of and can't be edited or changed at the whims of corporate bullshit. Oh and it was all free

True, did you see HBO is taking Westwood and other specials off. Ridiculous.

That said, being able to access a streaming library on a whim is pretty convenient. They put up all 7 seasons of GOT on HBO Max so I could watch it right now if I felt like it. Or I could just torrent it and take 5 or 6 days while having to download and activate all these programs to cloak my IP so HBO doesn't send me a threatening letter over the mail

Margot Robbie being attractive doesn't make Harley Quinn any less grating and obnoxious
that's her character dating back to the Batman The Animated Series days

"Toots"

"Mistah J"

Even the Arkham series Harleys were like that

Downloads go pretty fast, especially for popular shit like GoT. It's not 5 or 6 days, more like 5-10 minutes.

Also, the point of a library is to have a collection, rather than downloading shit right when I want to watch it

Also I have like 10 devices here so I could just access HBO Max and watch on one TV and then go downstairs and resume on another.

I mean I have a collection of material too but it's not on a server but a HD. And that material is also more likely to be taken down by DMCA. So I guess I can see what you're saying. Some of it I can find online but most of it just gets taken down by the rights holder, which is dumb.

I'm also not sure I can put stuff like that on a plex server...:naughty:

Aren't Plex servers private? Like, you control who can access your server.

I just don't see the purpose of a Plex server. "Watch on any device anywhere." Okay, well I just want to watch in my living room.

All my material I depend on is on the portable hard drive

But yes I can now see why you'd want to keep it downloaded, for convenience. I can just open up a folder and take a look at a video. :)

I've tried to walk down the aisle with Plex on a few occasions.

It's such a hassle to get configured the way you want it that I've never found a good enough reason to keep it up to date. It's easier for me the few times a year I want to watch a movie off my NAS to just grab it from VLC or something. I dunno. Maybe my OCD isn't strong enough.

I also bought Apollo Group TV last year. Legality aside, it's been a great service and aggregates all the content from all the streaming services up into one place, and it's worked fantastically - along with TV from most desirable countries. Haven't looked back. Hopefully they don't show up at my door one day to take me away.
