You can't fit your wireless earbuds in your pockets? lirl
No I can't. They need to be belt side for easy access

I love how this movie became a meme, especially the bit when Frodo turns up. It used to be on "Sky Movies" all the time back in the day.

Another movie I remember always being on all the time was a dreadful Handegg movie called "Hometown Legend" featuring John Locke from Lost as the coach.

I've only watched them for the first time last year, but they are just so much fun.

There's just something about the bad CGI that makes it great.

(Oh, this time hitting post reply actually made a post, rather than just deleting what I typed.)

Spy Kids 3D was actually well ahead of its time in terms of the concept of literally being in the video game. This was before VR was really in the general public consciousness

Covid was a super slow creep for me.

My wife and kiddo caught it from her sister, and I felt a little bit bad for like 3 days. I figured iT wAs JuSt ThE fLu after all. Then on day 4 I woke up and felt like I'd been hit by a bus. I was really sick for about 5 days. All-in-all I missed 7 full days of work. It was a ride.

Hopefully subsequent infections are less terrible.

yesterday was awful. couldn't stop coughing, serious fatigue, massive headache, low-grade fever, nose was a f***ing faucet and a partridge in a pear tree. today is a bit better. i have a legion of pre-existing lung conditions that rendered me eligible for the anti-virals, and they're helping. i also had the bivalent vaccine a month or two ago.

i still can't taste any food. at all. i literally ate a huge piece of ice cream cake and i just thought i was eating ass. i have some sense of smell but no taste whatsoever. i can barely feel ghost pepper hot sauce, it's f***ed up.

Metro wasn't a terrible idea... for touchscreen tablets. For desktops and laptops, we already had a place for arrangeable icons, it's called the god damned desktop.

What if I don't like using the desktop because icons aren't the best way to organize stuff? Well tough shit, we're going to put massive icons in the Start Menu, essentially making it an extension of the desktop.

Compare one of the Classic Start menus with the Windows 10 start menu and it's like one is designed for children.

Sure, one could argue the new menu is more visually appealing, but it's also decidedly harder to navigate with a weird mixture of text, icons, and empty space.

The biggest problem with Windows 8 and any subsequent iteration: take your "user friendly" Settings App, shove it up your ass, and just give me the regular old Control Panel.

Stop complicating my computer in your futile quest to make computers easier for the f***ing idiots.

So, of course, I can't install Classic Start on my work computers without admin rights, leaving me stuck with the shit start menu.
