Warzone gamer basically dropped out of college to play call of duty, won several world championships, streams daily now with 5k viewers.

Not everyone has that drive.

If you make gaming full time you can be that.

You have to understand most of us just work, go home and play 4 hours of games. These guys are on 8 hours. Sometimes 12. Every day.

Becoming successful, especially in any kind of entertainment industry, is a lot more complicated than just "Show up and work hard".

Successful people spout that shit because they don't want to admit that luck and connections play a very big role, and would rather act like they're self-made

You can certainly dispute it if you want, but you need to back your opinion up with evidence in order for it to have more merit. You can name 5, 10, 100 names to me and it doesn't mean anything until you consider sample size. 100 big-money accounts, for example, out of the over 40 million(I could be wrong about this number, but the total is really high and definitely in the millions so I'll just edit this) many millions of total registered users of Twitch is a vanishingly small percentage. Naming random streamers that have made it does not invalidate my or Zaiden Shogun's point; in fact, it strengthens it. No one remembers the countless that have failed, they only remember the very, very few that have succeeded.

I'm not saying streaming is bad, or that you can't make it...I'm just saying that it's very unlikely so don't count on it.
