nobody wants to sit around for like 4 minutes waiting for people to come

even if they did they'd just get overwhelmed

Then grab a vehicle and go to where the action is. You have this idea that you have to run everywhere and it's just plain wrong.

They would get overwhelmed if an entire squad rolled in, but decent teammates would see a base being captured and spawn on it to defend it.

Don't knock conquest because you're bad at it.

I can just as easily make Rush sound shitty by making stuff up.

There's absolutely no strategy in rush. One side camps the objective, while the other side can do nothing but run toward the objective and get killed by people camping.

General consensus is that the specialists in BF2042 are awful and have a negative affect on teamwork.

I remember @John Price telling me to stop being so negative about them, only for me to be proven completely right.

Yeah, let's trust EA as they ditch the class system, a literal hallmark of the series, so they can push microtransactions and skins

@John Price

In total, about 3100 streamers on Twitch have earned up of 70k (before taxes) since august 2019.
https://www.twitchearnings.com/

I chose this 70k because that means about 35k a year, and with a 20-30% of that outside of Twitch (subs, donations, youtube, insta, etc. - not counting OF here because that becomes an entire other beast) for the average streamer, that's what gives a decent, livable wage for doing that as a full time job.

Obviously, some of them may live in countries where 35k US a year makes you super rich, but that's a very small minority. Outliers exist (some of those 3100 streamers might be already popular people who make money doing other stuff but not frequent streamers, like artists and stuff)

So the 1% I mentioned earlier for "livable wage" really makes sense. If you need to reach the top 1% to make it your full time job, it really isn't a career worth pursuing for more than 2-3 years (and that's doing it part time or as a 2nd job). After those 2-3 years, you already know whether the algo has decided to grant you with the luck needed to be popular - hell, even after just 1 year you kinda know.

Also, thinking about it, I'm not even sure if those amounts are before or after the ~50% cut Twitch takes from subs and bits. I assume it's after, though.

I really dislike actual earbuds. They make the insides of my ears itchy, so I'll take the bulkiness of the QC's over that any day. I work out in the QC's even.
