You can take the commanders away from Snyder but apparently you can’t take the Snyder out of the commanders.
what the f*** are you talking about? the team is already better without him

i wish people would get informed before talking shit

And you keep just believing whatever bullshit the Commanders are leaking to the media.

This is the same bullshit Snyder pulled and everyone isn't as stupid as you Commanders fans are.

Agreed. Very bad look for the Commanders leadership to let this drag on.

And let's throw in a "reading comprehension 0/10" in there for old time's sake.

If Johnson was a bad interview, why did he get a second interview?

If Johnson was too expensive, why did he get a second interview?

If Johnson was too expensive and a bad interview, why was he the one that cancelled the second interview?

it doesn't take being a commanders fan to know that what Johnson did was a bush league move

this has nothing to do with washington trying to hire him, so stop pulling that card

even league insides with no ties to washington or no bias say it was a terrible look. For someone who was so interested air quotes in coaching, to pull back and say, especially in flight, "yeah i'm not going to do it", that's bush league. period.

now as a lions fan you may think differently but don't let your bias or joy over keeping him think that teasing teams like that is okay.

You answered none of my completely valid questions

then why interview in the first place  or allow a second interview

come on man use your head

Maybe he was willing to take the job in Washington until he met with ownership.

There's so much behind the scenes shit that we can't even speculate about what actually happened.

take the f***ing detroit glasses off and think

why interivew for a position you aren't intersted in

if you wanted a job that let you work from home and vape at your desk, but then tell the company on the way to the interview "no man I'd rather stay in my 4 am to 2 pm office job working with maga colleagues who hate hand washing" fine...but why entertain the offer in the first place

does it make sense to you now

"PEOPLE CHANGE THEIR MIND"

yes, sure, like you would change your mind about working from home instead of that office of yours, in a better environment, with more pay

sure

Why are you under the assumption that he never actually wanted the job?

How is he supposed to know what offers are available without talking to these other teams?

Please tell us about all the job interviews that you've had throughout your extensive career.

Orlovsky made his first career NFL start on October 12, 2008, in a 12–10 Lions loss against the Minnesota Vikings. He completed 12 of 21 passes for 150 yards, with one touchdown and no turnovers. However, early in the first quarter when he lined up in shotgun formation, he inadvertently ran out of the back of his own end zone for a safety, in what turned out to be the margin of victory.[13] "When they started blowing the whistle, I was like, 'Did we false start, or were they offsides or something?'" Orlovsky said. "And I looked, and I was just like, 'You're an idiot'".[14] The game ended up being the closest the Lions would come to a victory in their historic 0-16 season, as many of their other games including on Thanksgiving ended up being blowouts.
Just because Danny O was mid as a player does not mean he is not intelligent enough to offer quality analysis. And he's entertaining as well.

the fact that you're too blind to see that jilting teams (not only Commanders too but Seattle!) and en route too while they're coming to talk to you, the fact that you continue to defend this slimy behavior as "it's just business bro"

come on man

even you got to admit it's wrong to do that

give me a f***ing break, Josh McDaniels bombed his first HC gig, pulled out of his second one after accepting the offer and hiring 3 coaches, and then STILL got a 3rd gig that he bombed as well. But Ben Johnson is ruining his reputation?

The Commanders have a lot of stink to wash off of their franchise, and they’re honestly not a super hot destination that a lot of people seem to think they are. There is a reason they’re stuck with Dan Quinn right now, and it’s not because Ben Johnson screwed them

It sounds like Washington was counting their chickens before they hatched, and instead of having a moment of introspective thought once everything went tits up, they decided to slander the candidate they were previously enamored with.

Neither side looks good coming out of this.

What's Johnson supposed to do when he has a change of heart during the interview process?

He doesn't cancel the interview and he gets accused of wasting their time once he eventually turns down the offer.

It was said yesterday that the REAL reason he cancelled is because he realized the team was being run now by "basketball people" who may be clueless on how to run an NFL team, which may also be what Screamin'A was trying to allude to.

Funny how Seattle didn't go running to the media to selectively leak damning information on Ben Johnson.

No other team or candidate has this many stories about what went wrong in the hiring process so it definitely seems like Washington is trying to make him look bad for declining their offer
