Therefore any opinion author has a reason to lie, obfuscate, and misrepresent the issue to their benefit.

Opinion pieces are a one-sided debate where the other side has no chance of defending themselves.

There's also this person called the editor, and if they don't like you or your opinion, then your article isn't getting published.
