Most of my notifications have been ads for Microsoft services, like Xbox Live.

And every time I open Settings, it has this giant banner taking up half the window telling me to sign into my Microsoft account.

It's amazing how much more palatable something like W10 becomes when you see how much worse it can get.

Settings has these "green energy" power suggestions, so I looked at them and turned some on.

Now it nags me because I haven't followed all the suggestions, and I dared to deviate from some of their suggestions.

I got a notification telling me that my screen timeout and idle sleep timeout are different and should be changed because they're inefficient.

Like the world is going to burn because I have my laptop set to go to sleep 2 minutes after the screen timeouts.

How much do you want to bet that shit isn't on the enterprise version, where efficient power settings on hundreds to thousands of laptops might actually make a bit of a difference

So GE has this line of lightbulbs called Reveal.

They make a big deal on the box about "Pure, Clean Light" with "Exceptional color contrast and boldness, plus radiant whites".

They even have a comparison on the box, showing how they look better than soft white bulbs.

I see that comparison picture and assume they're actually going to be pure white bulbs.

Well, it's my fault for not reading the box close enough, because they're just the same f***ing ugly-ass piss-yellow 2700K bulbs that they've always sold.

Maybe you could say they're not as hideous as the average 2700K bulb, but that picture is a god damned lie. Going from 5000K to those are a definite downgrade.

I just don't understand why people like the soft white bulbs with the f***ing yellow tinge, they look so shit.
