That thought hit my mind. "Well shit, if we let the Thrashers go to Winnipeg, maybe that will shut those Canadians up"

Because the same group at the same time was also buying the NBA's Hawks (and control of the arena), and the NBA had no reason not to approve them as owners. That step was a rubber stamp. Given that, it would have been a complete nightmare for the NHL to then reject their ownership bid of the hockey team and leave the combined sale of the Hawks/Thrashers/arena in lurch.

And I've watched three total episodes of "The View," all from actually inside the studio while visiting NYC. Getting tickets is easy, and attending a taping of anything is actually quite cool.
