Oh my god, the world doesn't need another f***ing Superman movie.

For f***'s sake, you guys realize there are other superheroes, right

Say what???? What am I missing here? :dunno:

WIMBLEDON, England -- Carlos Alcaraz -- not four-time defending champion Novak Djokovic -- and Iga Swiatek were seeded No. 1 for Wimbledon on Wednesday, as expected, because the All England Club adhered to the ATP and WTA rankings.

Alcaraz overtook Djokovic atop the men's standings on Monday. Djokovic has not played since collecting his men's-record 23rd Grand Slam title at the French Open on June 11 and slid to No. 2, while Alcaraz rose one spot after winning a grass-court tune-up tournament at Queen's Club on Sunday.
It's no big deal. Thats how Wimby rolls. And we all know how #1 seeds fared in March Madness. I recall my beloved U knocking one off! :handclap: So as I said the other day, Nole will once again take Carlitos to school & get #24!! :yo:

Found out yesterday on Instagram that the main high-end glass gallery here in Canada that I’ve purchased a good 75% of my high end German glass bong and herblore bowl collection from (over the past 5 years)….just permanently closed!!!

R.I.P. “Higher Society Glass:cry:

For over 10 years, that place was a major groundbreaking mecca for the Canadian glass artist’s movement/glass collecting here in Canada in general. It was probably *the* best place to go if you wanted true glass art…that you can also smoke out of.

The owners were both great and possessed like a Sheldon Cooper-esque knowledge about every glass brand… Canadian or otherwise. As well as knowledge on all the different ways to use glass to get high (be it with bongs, bowls, pipes, rigs, e-rigs, you name it…they knew all about it) and would happily help get you all set up if you were a newbie.

Am legit saddened … :(

Part of what achieving this comes down to, Gunn seemed to suggest, is recognizing that “there is such a thing” as superhero fatigue, even if it actually “doesn’t have anything to do with superheroes.

“It has to do with the kind of stories that get to be told, and if you lose your eye on the ball, which is character,” continued Gunn. “We love Superman. We love Batman. We love Iron Man. Because they’re these incredible characters that we have in our hearts. And if it becomes just a bunch of nonsense onscreen, it gets really boring. But I get fatigued by most spectacle films, by the grind of not having an emotionally grounded story.”

Superhero fatigue is definitely about the superheroes.

It's not as simple as "just tell better stories" when the entire concept of superheroes (apparently) limits what kinds of stories you can tell.

Every superhero movie has the same basic plot structure: The protagonist sets out to defeat an antagonistic force (often evil) that threatens the protagonist and/or protagonist's homeland.

On occasion, we get an origin story. So the first act is slightly different, while the third is the exact same CGI clusterf*** as every other superhero movie.

Zack Snyder took offense to everyone shitting on Pa Kent's stupid and preventable death, so he decided to make an even worse scene.

Not only does everyone stand there and watch her die, she was just betrayed and left for dead by another character, and yet she dies without saying a single f***ing word about being betrayed.

It takes a special type of moron to write a scene that makes absolutely no sense, then shoot the scene without realizing how stupid it is, and ultimately decide it's good enough to put into the movie.

She's that one guy's girlfriend, and yet he shoots one single bullet before giving up trying to save her.

That makes it so much worse because clearly they could have helped, but chose not to.

What f***ing sense does that make?

Army of the Dead reviews:

"Watching this felt like I was experiencing a concussion."

"You spend a majority of the movie getting mad at the horrible stupid characters and hoping that an action scene will show up."

"I should’ve just rewatched Dawn of the Dead."

"Movies like this piss me off for more than just being a bad movie, it's because they waste a good genre-bending idea that can never be used again by someone who is actually good at their job."

"I expected plot holes, I expected dumb decisions. I did not expect it to be boring and without any real notably good action scenes."

"This felt like an Uwe Boll movie"

"This movie reminded me of how awful it feels to be bored during an action scene"

"A total waste of time in the end and packed to the brim with stupid character decisions and lazy unfocused writing."

"This movie chisels "TALENTLESS HACK" under a marble bust of Zach Snyder for all time."
