$$$ player. The Matthew Kay-Chuck of that team.

How about my man Coach Nerd banging the Panthers drum & bringing the meth Cats great Karma!!!! :yo:
The first football playoff game I ever saw was Miami - Indianapolis. It was the last game Miami won in the playoffs. Thnk Lamar Thomas had a run to end it.

I spent nearly 18 years reading books and doing math like a nerd. I missed out on nearly 20 years of sports history.

For the Marlins I remember going to a friend's house up state, they had ESPN coverage of the Giants - Marlins series. I remember everyone crowding the plate as the Marlins walked off.

For years I held a grudge against them but as ownership changed and they fire sold everyone they had on their team every 2 years I gave up my grudge. Now I am neutral towards them. Marlins never do anything for me to hate on anymore.

Wow it has been 20 years.

The first hockey game I ever saw was around 2001 when the Devils? won the cup. Against Anaheim. What year was that.

Like 2002 or 3.

Then the lockout :(

2003 was so much better than 1997 because it was so unexpected & such a scrappy, likeable bunch. Ok I'm outta here so I can pay 100% attention to the game. Be back in the AM.

@PanthersPens62 remembers going to the old Forbes Field for 5 dollar Pirates tickets.

I did not know you actually attended games.
I had season tickets a few years in the 90's. Just got too expensive.

I think I was at Forbes Field once when I was super young but have no real memories.

it's just amazing that 18 years was spent just reading books. what a waste of time lol. books are for nerds.

if you want to know what i regret the most it was studying all that time. for what. for who. i didn't learn shit. i learned shit out hustling in the real world. I didn't learn shit cooped up after school every day reading textbooks and literature. I read so much Shakespeare, Russian lit, English lit, for what? For who? For why?

I ain' need that shit. After I started following sports in 2001 my life got infinitesimally better.

Now all I do is watch japanese korean and american sports all day from home

i am an addict but i would rather be a sports addict than one of those lame ass joes in the workplace. Ride a f***ing bike to work, change your clothes, slave away for "the man". f*** that shit.

I think I only had 1 set of levels for Doom. Back then I think they included these free shareware cd's everywhere and if you purchased one video game for your pc they had all these demos on the cd lol

That's how you played Duke Nukem 3d, wolfenstein 3d, they added like 7 or 8 levels, the "first chapter"

So yes you were ritght @MetalheadPenguinsFan I only played like the first levels of Doom, the first chapter. Weren't there like 3 of them.

I was a big doom fan but I just grew out of those games. There was a Doom in like 2006 I remember that I downloaded but never bothered to beat. Do you remember the Mars shooter? Red Faction or whatever?

Yes, I know all about all of those games. Aside from The Simpsons arcade game, I have owned and played all of them. :)

When I was like 10 I remember wanting/receiving this as an early birthday present.

Yes the original Doom initially had 3 episodes with a fourth one.. “Thy Flesh Consumed” added in ‘95

Essentially this enhanced version was made as an incentive in the distribution of the boxed game through stores and venues. Although to be fair to fans who had previously registered Doom, id Software provided them with a freely available patch to upgrade their copy and get the 4th episode.
