Movie days at school were always the best. I don't care if it was boring. It's time I get to spend at school just watching a movie.

I ran a traceroute on two different computers and networks and, after 10+ hops, they both died at the same IP address.

Consider me clueless, but it seems pretty clear that the problem is not on my end, right?

I wasn't born in the 1950s, I'm not nostalgic for the 1950s, your movie is a waste of time if it doesn't offer more than just nostalgia.

Forrest Gump is easily the worst offender. That movie is a conveyor belt of cheap pops via nostalgia.

REMEMBER NIXON?

REMEMBER VIETNAM?

REMEMBER AIDS?

REMEMBER SMILEY FACES?

REMEMBER APPLE?

"There's almost nothing boomers love more than to tell people a story about the time they told someone something."

Thank you, Reddit comment I just read that coincidentally sums up Forrest Gump

Had to do a client install for a healthcare provider for the first time using our new deployment model.

Like a year ago we decided to get away from windows .msi's and SQL server and moved to docker/kubernetes and PostGres, so that we could deploy to SaaS and host customers as they came in.

Seems like most people have zero interest in us hosting, which is fine - we have to adapt and support on-prem and private cloud installs.

First one today, into Azure using the AKS service. I sent a laundry list of prereqs in hopes that everything drove forward smoothly.

Nothing went smoothly. What a gong show. I don't know how services guys sit in client meetings all day. It's fuuuuuckin horrible. Got the shit installed with a few workarounds, but their firewall was basically zero-trust and they wouldn't open up ports/api endpoints to allow some of the non-company software to work (specifically Jetstack's "cert-manager").

Ready to quit and go work stocking shelves in Walmart so I never have to talk to anyone again.

I better not see ANY crowd pictures of loan depot park this year after that picture you posted on the Baseball Board! Freezing cold my ass......Yankee Stadium is full and it is colder there. More likely people in DC have, as Grapes would say, "smartened up" and chosen not to spend their hard earned $$$ on a subpar product.

Now go tell those ushers to let you move to a better location.

Started a TDM with bots in CSGO.

Wasn't paying attention, so it auto-assigned me a team.

Get killed by a CT. Okay, I guess I'm a terrorist.

Find another terrorist, so I go to back him up, they turn and shoot me. Wait, what team am I on?

Oh, I started a free for all game.

You think I would notice the lack of teammate indicators on the HUD, or the lack of teams on the scoreboard. Nope.

TDM with bots is kinda like playing online.

I'm the best on the team with a 3:1 k/d, but we lose because I spend most of my time looking for people while my team is busy dying 3-4 times as often as me.

Nothing ruins the mood quite like your teammates honestly asking "Are you okay" in response to your gameplay.

Well, I was relaxed and enjoying myself, but shit, now I'm all tense because clearly I'm playing really shitty.

I want to play online without dealing with all of the bullshit of playing online.

For example: I'm playing and listening to a podcast, but someone wants to use voice chat, so now I have to stop my podcast or try to ignore them.

Battlefield has enough people that being awful doesn't really matter.

It's the esports games where people get toxic. "Mah precious rank" as they're a f***ing silver or whatever
