Also I have said this before and you all know it's true but...





what the US did in 1980 winning gold with a ton of inexperienced college kids is much better than what Canada did without NHL players from 1979 - 2000

Canada for years failed to win gold as the Russian and occasional US dominated Olympic hockey. For years they blamed it on the inability to use professional players.

It was also the excuse in 2018 after Canada failed to win gold.

Canada then went 50 years without winning the Winter Olympic Gold medal and from 1962 to 1993, didn't win any World Championships.
