It makes a some sense when they think I'm in Canada.

However, I can't even use my VPN when they blackout the broadcast channels because they think I'm in a different city.

What difference does it make if I happen to watch the Chicago NBC feed, rather than the Charlotte NBC feed? Will the fabric of society start to crumble if I watch a channel outside of it's local broadcast area?

This season, Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark will take over the net from Tuukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak. This is out of the ordinary.
The last time the Bruins started a year with an entirely new tandem was in 2003-04. That season, Andrew Raycroft and Felix Potvin succeeded John Grahame and Steve Shields. Brad Marchand was 15 years old.
In the 16 seasons in between, there has always been a bridge from one puck stopper to the next, from Raycroft to Tim Thomas to Rask. So you can see why Marchand, who also said goodbye to David Krejci, classifies the current environment as one of the more unique he’s experienced.
“This is a little bit different than where we’ve been in the past,” Marchand said. “We always have guys turn over every year. It’s part of the business. Guys come and go. But to have some of the guys leave out of our core group that we’ve had here for a long time, it’s a bit of a different feeling. But there’s a lot of excitement around our team. Swayman’s 10 appearances last year could not have gone better. The experience will give him assurance he can play in the NHL and play very well. Replicating his .945 save percentage is unrealistic. But everything about Swayman, albeit within a limited sample, signals good things ahead.

Non seulement n’y a-t-il pas eu de tournoi de golf impliquant les joueurs du Canadien cette année, mais à quand remonte la toute première disponibilité médias d’un camp d’entraînement du CH à laquelle ne participaient ni Carey Price, ni Brendan Gallagher ni Shea Weber?
Le premier va prendre tout le camp d’entraînement pour terminer sa rééducation, le deuxième Pejorative Slure son arrivée de quelques jours pour des raisons familiales, et le troisième, on le sait, ne sera pas là de l’année.
Ça avait quelque chose de symbolique, jeudi, de voir plutôt défiler des joueurs de la nouvelle vague, les Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield et Ryan Poehling, suivi d’un entraîneur-chef qui dirigera lui-même son premier camp d’entraînement de la LNH. Les temps changent.

No, I'm using a VPN just to hide my traffic, but the location differences cause some unintended consequences.

For example, I google something and see an Amazon page, but it opens up Amazon.ca and their fake monopoly money prices

I really can’t imagine what kind of sad person would spend over a decade on this forum just posting nearly entirely in the useless thread or Simpsons thread with occasional posts about sports.
