Chris Drury got his guys on the team at the expense of better talent. It’s really that simple. The lack of Tage was hysterical to watch last night. Slow Nelson and stone hands Kreider looking like fools while Canada skated around them constantly. Just such a waste to not use him, fresh, when you have guys like Tkachuk hurt and not able to take shifts... IDK what the US was thinking.
They had 7 or 8 skaters on the ice at one point.Wish Canada got at least 1 penalty against them but why would that ever happen. Guess they're the most clean hockey team to ever exist.
Outside the injuries, a very successful Hockey "tournament" and from a casual viewer attraction, I felt it received good reviews. Now whether that leads to more viewership for the general product going forward relies on the NHL capitalizing on the opportunity, especially with the NBA, their main competition has had a slight down turn on their product.

I understand why...I wouldn't want Tage on the team either. The lack of Tage was hysterical to watch last night. I'm so glad the US lost...I hope they never win again, at anything.
There's one reason if you think. Why?

What’s the one reason? There's one reason if you think.
Because I hate the team and everything they/we stand for. Can't wait to watch us lose again in the Olympics. Why?

geez, I thought it was a hockey game, an exhibition game at that."In less than an hour, fans from here will join others from around the world, and you will be launching the most important hockey game in the history of mankind... Mankind. That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the 20th of February, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom. Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution… but from annihilation. We're fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the 20th of February will no longer be known as an Canadian holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice: We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Championship!"

Meh. My sentiments aren't as extreme. I understand them, though. I wasn't rooting for the US, either. I rooted more for players I liked, and Reinhart trumped everyone for me, so I'm glad Canada won.Pathetic.
