WC: USA Roster

Bishop is injured and i think Anderson maybe wants to spend extra time with his family after what has happened in recent years. I think Darling and Lindgren are better than Condon or Montoya. Of course there is Howard but some reason i believe he will not come this year. Dark horse is Demko. I think he could do what Hellebuyck did couple years ago.

Your gm should stay far away from selecting Leddy&Lee
any Islander for that matter, their season has not done
good things for them. Lee has been great, i give you that,
but in his last game i saw something about what no hockey player
should do; give up. In the third Lee played like someone
who'd rather be somewhere else. Leddy has been the worst
player in the NHL this season, shouldn't represent team USA.

Leddy hasn't been anywhere near the worst player in the league or on his team.

He has taken the brunt for being the #1 on a horribly structured defense...His style of play helps nothing, but he is not the reason the Isles can't keep pucks out. They have no system in place, they have had injuries to key defenders, and just haven't been good overall on the back check forward wise. Most Isles fans say Leddy has been okay to good, nowhere near the worthless plus/minus stat puts him at..He is not a true #1 defensemen, yet that is what the Isles are playing him as.

Islanders are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Lee and Leddy are easilypossible selections.
 
Sounding like Eichel may not go? Mittelstadt said he would love to go if he got an invite.

“It’s a tough situation with the ankle and the long season. You have to be fully committed to going to a tournament like that because it’s so long. We’ll see,” Eichel said Monday.

“Clayton Keller did it last year and he loved it, so it would be pretty cool for me to do that,” said Mittelstadt. “I’ve watched it for many years so I’d love to do it.”

I kid, I kid...I figured he would be out, and he came last year- but damn if he isn't healthy he shouldn't be playing...seems like smoke to me..
 
When Matthews gets knocked out after four games will he go to the World Cup?
