Kerfoot, Thornton, Spezza whoever is there I could see working with this group. I think this team is built for it.

Robertson is a possibility to be sent down to OHL.
Lehtonen, Barabanov and Korshkov may go back overseas if they don’t make the opening day roster or to AHL due to being waiver exempt.
Liljegren, Sandin, Anderson, Engvall may be sent down to AHL due to being waiver exempt.
Hutchinson was signed to be the goalie exposed at the expansion draft (his only value to the team) and may be never be called up from AHL

Line 3/take no shat/scoring/hitting/game changing line

Barabanov/Kerfoot-Thorton-Mikheyev...not thrilled but
if they can fill 5-7 mins a Game and not hurt ya too bad..Ok

The top 2 lines will put up points but will give up as many .."so"..a little same old

Key here is line 3..they set the tone for line 1 and 2..both before and after to help them pull their weight at BOTH ends of the ice..after they watch line 3 do their thing --the other 2 cannot help but get a bit more enthusiastic.Problem here is the Leafs goofed on one key player shown...he would have made chopped suey into a Mandarin delicacy meal.

Still a lot thin where it counts...better hope they score 5 or 6 a game cause they will give up 4-5 for sure.
But it will make for exciting Sheeny hockey when you can brag ya scored a touchdown of points.

Holl is not a top 4, so what choice does TOR have?

TOR will just have to cut their losses when it comes to the Kadri trade. Kerfoot is not so good at many things (not a playmaker, not a good goal scorer, not so great at faceoffs, not a defensive specialist, not physical, etc.). If it were my team and I could bend the league rules I'd put Kerfoot on the 5th line.

We'll see about Barabanov. He may only be a 4th liner, but if he can do a little extra than Kerfoot (see the above comments on Kerfoot), then why not try him?

Holl was top 4 last year and better than Bogosian, and he has chemistry and familiarity with Muzzin. No reason to think that has changed before training camp even begins.

Barabanov may make the team, but it definitely won't be over Kerfoot.
